the red marionettes, Maria Fomich by ya betta’ supa don’t!
This piece is in a traveling show, called the Anti-War Medals. It was sold to an anonymous buyer. The soldiers have been marked with the number of American soldier lives lost, as well as the Iraq civilian death toll. The numbers can not be compared….
Hello America.
Hello? Can someone clarify things for me – where are all the activists? Better yet, where are all the Americans? This is our country, did you hear me correctly, ours, and it is at war. War is not the answer – scream it with me now – War is not the answer! We’re just busy leading lonely lives in our day-to-day routine, working like robots and paying the bills; all the while our name is being burned to ash by a small group of greedy white men. We’re just too tired, too stressed out to think about the bigger picture. I’m embarrassed frankly, rendered speechless by our lack of effort to end this war. But I have hope. We need unity, we need compassion, and we need activism. Our hands are red until then. How many people will die before we demand the strings be cut?
